Educational Sciences StudyProgram Hosts Webinar Series #5: Optimizing AI for Scientific Publication

Yogyakarta, Saturday, October 18th, 2025 — The Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences, UNY Graduate School, hosted Webinar Series #5 titled “Optimizing AI in Writing National and International Scientific Articles: From Idea to Publish.” The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M. Kes., AIFO, and attracted 276 registrants consisting of lecturers, researchers, journal managers, and students from various universities. The participants’ enthusiasm reflected the growing interest in technology-assisted publication strategies grounded in academic integrity.

Two keynote speakers delivered complementary insights. Prof. Dr. Sulis Triyono, M. Pd. discussed the responsible use of artificial intelligence to strengthen research ideas, map relevant literature, refine academic language, and sharpen the logical flow of arguments for more focused and coherent manuscripts. He also demonstrated how to craft effective prompts—by clearly defining research objectives, providing specific context and keywords, including the journal’s style guide, and requesting structured outputs such as titles, abstracts, and IMRaD-based outlines—so that AI-generated results remain relevant and easy to edit.

Meanwhile, Yuyun Sri Wahyuni, M. A., Ph.D. highlighted strategies to increase manuscript acceptance in nationally accredited and internationally indexed journals. Her presentation covered aligning journal scope with the manuscript’s content, developing strong titles and abstracts, managing references effectively, and preparing persuasive cover and response letters addressing reviewers’ feedback.

The webinar underscored the importance of balancing ethical AI utilization with rigorous scientific precision. Participants gained practical guidance they could immediately apply to prepare submission-ready manuscripts and enhance their chances of publication success. The event reaffirmed the UNY Graduate School’s commitment to fostering a culture of high-quality, relevant, and ethical scientific publication.
