GS UNY Strengthens Research Literacy through Literature Mapping and Research Gap Webinar

21–22 November 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) organized the Literature Mapping and Research Gap Webinar as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen research literacy and academic competence among graduate students and researchers.
The webinar was attended by master’s and doctoral students as well as researchers from various higher education institutions. It was designed to enhance participants’ ability to develop systematic, rigorous, and internationally standardized literature reviews.
Speakers presented key topics including Bibliometric fundamentals, strategies for searching high-quality academic references, and the application of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method in scholarly publications. Participants were also introduced to academic databases, digital reference management tools, and literature analysis software to support the development of comprehensive and up-to-date research maps.
Interactive discussion sessions allowed participants to address technical challenges in literature processing, ethical citation practices, and strategies for identifying and responding to research gaps in thesis and dissertation writing. Participants demonstrated strong engagement through active participation and critical questioning.
Through this webinar, GS UNY reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of research capacity and scholarly excellence. The activity is expected to strengthen a culture of high-quality research and enhance GS UNY’s academic contribution at national and international levels.
