Site Visit Accreditation Assessment of the Master Program in Educational Research and Evaluation (ERE)

The Master Program in Educational Research and Evaluation (ERE) at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) conducted a Site Visit Accreditation Assessment by the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Education on 8–9 December 2025. This assessment constituted a crucial stage in the re-accreditation process aimed at maintaining the program’s Excellent Accreditation status, which is set to expire in 2025. The site visit was designed to evaluate the quality of governance, curriculum implementation, academic services, and learning outcomes of the study program.
The Site Visit Assessment officially commenced on Monday, 8 December 2025, with an opening session attended by university leaders, including the Vice Rector for Finance, the Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance (DQA), the Director of the GS UNY Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO., along with members of the GS UNY leadership. Also in attendance were the Coordinator of the PEP Master Program, Dr. Risky Setiawan, M.Pd., the Quality Assurance Team, and the Accreditation Task Force Team.
The LAM Kependidikan assessor panel assigned to the Site Visit for the PEP Master’s Program consisted of:
-
Prof. Dr. Kartono, M.Si., Universitas Negeri Semarang
-
Prof. Dr. Drs. Undang Rosidin, M.Pd., Universitas Lampung
The opening agenda included the introduction of the assessors, the reading of the Site Visit Assessment Statement, and an overview of the assessment procedures to be conducted over the two-day period.
The initial assessment session was carried out with the Study Program Management Unit (SPMU), focusing on the confirmation of the SPMU development plan, governance and management systems, academic management, and institutional performance achievements. The assessors also conducted an in-depth verification of quantitative data, the Self-Evaluation Report (SER), and the Study Program Performance Data (SPP Data).
In the afternoon, the assessors continued the assessment through separate sessions with several stakeholder groups, including:
-
Alumni and external stakeholders, to explore satisfaction levels, stakeholder engagement, and workforce needs;
-
Lecturers and educational staff, to confirm service quality, performance, and the academic working environment;
-
Students, to assess learning experiences, academic achievements, and satisfaction with academic services.
The first day concluded with a comprehensive review of facilities and infrastructure, including the ERE Laboratory, CIVED Laboratory, IP Laboratory, Distance Learning (PJJ) Laboratory, GS UNY Library, Digital Library, Health and Sport Center (HSC), classrooms, examination rooms, and independent learning spaces.
On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, the assessors conducted learning observations to directly evaluate the teaching and learning process, assessment methods, lecturer–student interactions, and the utilization of learning media. This was followed by an independent assessor session to prepare the draft minutes and accreditation recommendations.
The draft recommendations were subsequently discussed with the university leadership during a feedback session, prior to the signing of the Site Visit Assessment Minutes. The official agenda concluded with the delivery of preliminary recommendations by the assessor panel.
Overall, the Site Visit Accreditation Assessment proceeded smoothly and was attended by university leaders, the assessor panel, the accreditation team, lecturers, students, alumni, and external stakeholders. The assessment is expected to further strengthen quality enhancement efforts within the ERE Master Program at GS UNY and to ensure the alignment of academic implementation with national accreditation standards.
