SPs UNY Conducts Governance Benchmarking Visit to SPs UNPAD

The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY) continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving service quality and institutional governance through the strengthening of its academic networks. This commitment was put into action through a strategic benchmarking visit to the Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) on Thursday, 12 February 2026.

The visit aimed to gather best practices in graduate education management while accelerating digital transformation within the campus environment. The SPs UNY delegation was led by senior leaders and expert staff, including Prof. Dr. Yudanto, M.Pd. (Deputy Director for Planning, General Affairs, and Finance), Prof. Dr. Dyah Kumalasari, M.Pd. (Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Research, and Cooperation), and Prof. Dr. Mochammad Bruri Triyono, M.Pd. (Head of the International Cooperation Office), accompanied by teams from the ICT Center, Public Relations, and Academic Administration.

The delegation was warmly received by the Dean of SPs UNPAD, Prof. Dr. Ir. Vijaya Isnaniawardhani, M.T., alongside the institution's leadership overseeing internationalization, research, and resource management. The meeting was highly productive, centering on three critical issues in navigating the challenges of contemporary higher education: Human Resource Governance and Management, focusing on efficient human resource systems to support graduate school productivity; Distance Learning (PJJ), addressing the development of technology-based distance learning services to broaden educational accessibility; and Cooperation Implementation, sharpening the steps needed to translate the existing Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) into tangible outcomes in research and academic publication — moving beyond administrative formality into real impact.

"This visit is a strategic step for SPs UNY to remain an adaptive and innovative institution. Through academic dialogue with UNPAD, we are working to improve service quality and strengthen technology-based learning systems," remarked the SPs UNY delegation during the discussion session.

Beyond sharing experiences on internationalization, both institutions also explored long-term collaboration opportunities in community service and joint academic program development. This synergy is envisioned to foster a robust graduate education ecosystem that remains relevant to global dynamics. Driven by a spirit of innovation, SPs UNY continues to move forward in delivering the highest quality of education for its academic community and society at large.
