The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY) held a Performance Contract Signing Ceremony involving the Director, Study Program Coordinators, Laboratory Coordinators, and Unit Coordinators within SPs UNY on September 23, 2026, at the Hall on the 3rd Floor of the Sugeng Mardiyono Building. This activity marked a strategic step toward aligning policy directions, performance targets, and the commitments of all work units to support the measurable and sustainable achievement of institutional goals.

The signing of these performance contracts followed the performance contract established between the Director of SPs UNY, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO., and the Rector of UNY. The contract was subsequently translated into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each study program, laboratory, and work unit in accordance with their respective duties, functions, and responsibilities.

Through this mechanism, each coordinator has a clear reference for planning, implementing, and evaluating work programs. Aligning performance indicators is expected to ensure that activities conducted at the study program and supporting unit levels make tangible contributions to achieving the strategic targets of SPs UNY and the university as a whole.

Performance contracts also serve as an important instrument for strengthening a work culture focused on results, transparency, and accountability. Beyond functioning as administrative documents, these contracts represent a shared commitment to improving the effectiveness of academic management, service quality, research productivity, and the development of various programs that support institutional progress.

The involvement of all study program, laboratory, and work unit coordinators reflects the importance of cross-functional synergy in establishing integrated governance for postgraduate education. Each component plays a complementary strategic role, ranging from the delivery of education and the advancement of academic disciplines to the improvement of academic services and institutional operational support.

Through the signing of these performance contracts, SPs UNY reaffirms its commitment to building a governance system that is increasingly professional, adaptive, and performance-driven. Aligning institutional targets with the contributions of each unit is expected to promote continuous quality improvement while strengthening SPs UNY’s progress toward becoming an excellent postgraduate institution with global competitiveness.
