Yogyakarta – The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY) held a workshop entitled “Strategies for Building Corporate Networks and the Art of Selling Educational Service Ideas” on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The event took place at 12:30 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) in the Hall on the 3rd Floor of the Sugeng Mardiyono Building at SPs UNY. The workshop featured Dr. Sutarno Bintoro, S.H., S.S., S.M., M.M., Director of LSP Digital Leadership Indonesia and Director of PT Indonesia Siber Integritas, as the speaker.

The workshop was organized to strengthen the capacity of the academic community and management personnel at SPs UNY to build partnerships with the corporate sector and develop communication and marketing strategies for educational services. Amid evolving human resource development needs and changes in the higher education landscape, the ability to establish strategic partnerships has become increasingly important for expanding the reach of postgraduate education services.

Through this activity, participants were expected to broaden their understanding of the importance of building professional relationships with potential partners, identifying collaboration opportunities, and effectively communicating the value and strengths of educational services. The ability to present ideas and offer educational solutions relevant to partners’ needs is an important asset in establishing sustainable cooperation.

In addition to strengthening professional networks, the workshop highlighted the importance of presenting educational service ideas in ways that clearly demonstrate their value to potential partners. This approach is relevant to the development of educational programs, training initiatives, and various academic services that can be aligned with the needs of the workforce and organizations.

The workshop was attended by members of the leadership team, study program coordinators, unit coordinators, laboratory managers, lecturers, and educational support staff at SPs UNY. The participation of these various groups was expected to foster a shared perspective on developing partnership opportunities and expanding the reach of postgraduate education services.

Through this workshop, SPs UNY continues to strengthen its institutional capacity to establish strategic, adaptive, and partner-oriented collaborations. This effort forms part of SPs UNY’s broader initiative to expand cooperation with the corporate sector while enhancing the relevance of its educational services in supporting human resource development.
