Yogyakarta, August 21^st, 2025 – The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) received a visit from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Cenderawasih University (Uncen) on Thursday, August 21^st, 2025. The visit aimed to conduct benchmarking related to the development and governance of the Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program in Education.

The delegation from FKIP Uncen was represented by Dr. Kusdianto, M. Pd, the Chief of the Master Program in Primary Education. In his remarks, Dr. Kusdianto expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to engage in discussions and learn directly about the Doctoral Program management at UNY.

The benchmarking covered several key aspects of doctoral program development, including:

• The structure and curriculum of the Doctoral Program in Education
• Governance and academic management of the Doctoral program
• Human resources, student affairs, and supporting infrastructure
• Quality development and accreditation strategies
• Best practices in the implementation of doctoral programs

In his welcome speech, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M. Kes., AIFO, Director of the GS UNY, emphasized the readiness of GS UNY to foster further collaboration through faculty capacity building, student exchanges, and the joint development of Doctoral programs in the educational field.

This benchmarking activity is expected to mark the beginning of a strategic partnership between GS UNY and Uncen to strengthen the quality of higher education in the field of teacher training and education in Indonesia, particularly in supporting the development of excellent human resources in Papua.
