FORMING A ROADMAP OF STUDY COMPLETION THROUGH WRITING CAMP

One that determines the success of the study in the Master's Program is completing a thesis. Based on the monitoring, students from the 2019 and 2020 batches experienced many obstacles, especially when meetings with lecturers became awkward and they did not share the same views about the research direction. Another problem faced is publication as a requirement for graduation/taking a diploma. The condition of completing this final assignment needs to be monitored so that the student concerned immediately fulfills all the requirements. Related to this, it is important to monitor students' final assignments and publications, then follow up with supervisor meetings with students in writing camps.

In the event held by the PEP Study Program of UNY Graduate School, students were asked to make a roadmap and the completion target of their studies, especially in completing a thesis. Then the roadmap is used as a reference to always control themselves so as not to take too long in college. In addition, the roadmap is submitted to the supervisor or study program coordinator to monitor the student's learning progress. Prof. Dr. Heri Retnawati, M.Pd. as the Coordinator of the PEP Graduate School Study Program at UNY, gave several tips to complete the thesis as soon as possible. One of them is that if you have started working on your dissertation, don't "commit" to work or accept a job because it makes your dissertation not finished yet. Furthermore, students are also allowed to submit input and suggestions related to the final assignment guidance process. Then it would be followed up by the study program coordinator or supervisor.
