UNY Graduate School and UKM Expand Collaboration Through Signing of Cooperation Agreement

Yogyakarta, September 24th, 2025 – The academic atmosphere at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) became increasingly dynamic with the presence of a delegation from the Faculty of Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The visit not only served as a forum for continuing discussions on ongoing collaborations but also marked an important milestone with the signing of a cooperation agreement, held in conjunction with the Summer Course program “International Practice in TVET Development” on September 22–26, 2025.

On Monday, September 22nd, 2025, GS UNY organized a Summer Course entitled “International Practice in TVET Development” at the Teleconference Room, 2nr floor of Sugeng Mardiyono Building, GS UNY, featuring Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Sattar Rasul, M. Sc. Ind. Eng,, Chairman of the STEM Enculturation Research Center, Faculty of Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), as the keynote speaker.

Dresden, September 19th, 2025 – The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) proudly celebrates a remarkable academic achievement through its international collaboration with the Faculty of Education, Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden), Germany. In a special diploma conferment ceremony, Galeh Nur Indriatno Putra Pratama successfully earned the prestigious academic degree Doktor der Philosophie (Dr. phil.) under the Joint German–Indonesian Ph.D. Program in Vocational and Technology Education.

Acara diawali sambutan hangat Wakil Direktur Bidang Akademik, Kemahasiswaan, Riset, dan Kerja Sama, Prof. Dr. Dyah Kumalasasi, M.Pd., yang memperkenalkan ekosistem akademik SPs UNY beserta koordinator prodi S-3 PEP, S-3 IP, S-2 PTK, S-2 Ilmu Lingkungan, dan S-2 MSDMP.

The Graduate School of UNY (GS UNY) hosted a delegation from the Graduate Program of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (GP UNDIKSHA) in the Sugeng Mardiyono Auditorium on Friday, September 12th, 2025. Strengthening governance and graduate program growth were the goals of the visit.

The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) marked a remarkable academic milestone with the Doctoral promotion session of two doctoral (Ph. D.) candidates in Educational Research and Evaluation, Dr. Eko Wahyunanto Prihono, M.Pd.., and Dr. Fitria Lapele, M.Pd. The two, who are not only husband and wife but also lecturers at A.M. Sangadji State Islamic University (UIN) Ambon, successfully defended their dissertations on the same day at the 3rd Floor of the Auditorium in the Sugeng Mardiyono Building.
