S2 PTK SPs UNY Reaffirms Commitment to Quality through LAMDIK Reaccreditation Field Assessment

The Master’s Program in Technology and Vocational Education (S2 PTK) at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY) underwent a reaccreditation field assessment by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Education (LAMDIK) on Thursday–Friday, July 23–24, 2026, at the 3rd-floor auditorium of the Sugeng Mardiyono Building, SPs UNY. The assessment was part of the accreditation process, aimed at verifying, validating, and clarifying the documentation and implementation of the S2 PTK program.

The field assessment was conducted by two LAMDIK assessors, Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Yudi Permana, M.Des., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Syaad Paanthara, M.Pd. Over the two-day assessment, the team reviewed various aspects of the study program’s operations as part of the higher education quality assurance process.

The assessment included a presentation on the implementation of the S2 PTK program, followed by clarification sessions and discussions regarding the supporting documents submitted previously. The assessors also gathered more in-depth information through interviews with various stakeholders involved in the program, including study program administrators, lecturers, educational staff, students, and alumni. This process aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the implementation of the three pillars of higher education—education, research, and community service—as well as study program governance, academic services, and the implementation of the quality assurance system.

Throughout the assessment, discussions were conducted in an open, communicative, and constructive manner. The questions, feedback, and clarifications provided by the assessors played an important role in evaluating the alignment between the accreditation documents and the actual implementation of the study program. Beyond serving as an external evaluation process, the field assessment also provided an opportunity for the S2 PTK program to reflect on and further improve the delivery of education, research, community service, and academic services.

The field assessment represents SPs UNY’s commitment to fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement. Through an objective and comprehensive evaluation process, the S2 PTK program continues to strive to improve governance, strengthen its academic culture, and produce outstanding and adaptable graduates capable of responding to the evolving challenges of vocational education at both national and international levels.

The results of the field assessment are expected to provide constructive feedback for the further development of the S2 PTK program at SPs UNY while reinforcing the commitment of the entire academic community to delivering high-quality, innovative, and globally competitive postgraduate education.
