UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung Conducts Benchmarking Visit to GS UNY to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) welcomed a benchmarking delegation from Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Jurai Siwo Lampung on Friday, 21 November 2025, at the Sugeng Mardiyono Hall, 3rd Floor. The visit served as a strategic forum to strengthen academic collaboration, develop study programs, and exchange best practices in graduate school management.
The event opened with remarks from the Director of GS UNY, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO, who introduced members of the GS leadership team, including the Vice Directors, Doctoral Program Coordinators, Heads of Administrative Divisions, and supporting units.
Prof. Siswantoyo expressed hope that the visit would bring mutual benefits and open broader opportunities for long-term collaboration. “We welcome ideas and input from UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung. This visit marks a promising start for future collaborations, whether in guest lectures, joint research, joint curriculum development, or other academic initiatives,” he said.
Representing the visiting delegation, UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung’s Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Dedi Irwansyah, M. Hum., conveyed his appreciation for the warm welcome. He highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional partnerships, especially as UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung transitions from an institute to university status. “This visit is an essential part of our learning process, and it is an honor to return to UNY, my alma mater,” he noted.
The agenda continued with an interactive discussion session involving graduate program directors, doctoral program heads, administrative units, and faculty members. Discussions covered academic management, institutional governance, curriculum development, and strategies to enhance doctoral program quality at both institutions.
The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementing Arrangement (IA) between GS UNY and UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung, marking a strengthened commitment to sustainable and impactful collaborative initiatives.
Through this benchmarking visit, both institutions aim to enhance the quality of postgraduate education and open wider opportunities for future joint academic programs.
