RASCH MODEL IN EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

Rasch Model in educational assessment is becoming an increasingly hot topic of discussion. Not only because of its novelty but also because of its usefulness. Seeing this situation, The Educational Research and Evaluation Doctoral Program (PEP) organized a Rasch Model training activity. Presenting resource person Bambang Sumintono, Ph.D., is also an expert in the field of the Rasch Model. His expertise has even been recognized not only in Indonesia. For almost 10 years, Bambang Sumintono, Ph.D. has appreciated his knowledge in Malaysia at Universiti Malaya.

Considering that training activities require a process that is not instantaneous, the PEP Doctoral Program organizes training for 3 days. The actual time is quite short for training, utilized as effectively as possible. Theory and practice must be given in equal proportion.
The enthusiasm of potential participants in this activity is very high. The increasing number of registrants evidence this. Initially planned for only 20 participants, and then exploded to 45 participants. Considering this activity must also focus on quality, the committee wisely decided that only 35 participants were enrolled in this training. Lecturers and students from other universities also attended students or lecturers from UNY.

It was recorded that lecturers from the Padang State University registered from Sumatra island. Then there are also lecturers from Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin. There are also lecturers from the Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. Meanwhile, Representatives of Java Island were represented by registrants from Gadjah Mada University, Diponegoro University, Surabaya State University, Ahmad Dahlan University, etc. This activity is expected to increase the attractiveness of the PEP Doctoral Program in public. In addition, similar training activities are also carried out to form the uniqueness of the PEP Doctoral Program. (wul/ant)
