INTRODUCTION TO CAMPUS LIFE OF NEW STUDENTS (PKKMB) UNY GRADUATE SCHOOL 2023/2024

The implementation of Campus Orientation activities for New Students Intake Odd 2023/2024, Thursday-Friday (August 10-11, 2023) was attended by Postgraduate Ranks, namely the Director, Deputy Director 1 (Academic and Student Affairs), Deputy Director 2 (Finance and Sarpras), Study Program Coordinator, Subdivision, and Postgraduate School Student Family Organization (KMSP) as the Committee in the Campus Orientation activities of New Students Intake Odd 2023/2024. Postgraduate School Campus Orientation activities are conducted offline at the Imam Barnadib Building 7th Floor, which the host and Committee guide. There are 97 students of UNY Postgraduate School for the 2023/2024 Academic Year odd intake consisting of S3 Education Science study program, S3 PTK, S3 PEP, S2 PTK, S2 PEP, S2 Environmental Science and S2 MSDMP.

PKKMB activities carry the theme "Quality Campus Orientation, Realizing Postgraduate School Students with Superior Character, Creative, Innovative, and Globally Competitive in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0. PKKMB activities were carried out for two days. The first day began with the screening of the Graduate School profile video, an activity report by the Chairperson of KMSP, Roni Eka Rahmat, and remarks. On this occasion, the Director of PPS UNY, Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron, M. Pd, welcomed new students of the Masters and Doctoral programs at UNY. "UNY Postgraduate School has a vision that in 2025, it will become an Educational Postgraduate Program that excels in education and research in Southeast Asia, following devotion, independence, and scholarship values. UNY postgraduate school is a superior postgraduate school; many Postgraduate School alumni are successful after graduation, "said Prof. Anik Ghufron.

The activity continued with introducing the Postgraduate Program, starting from the ranks of the Director, Head of Study Program, Head of Subdivision, and Support Unit. After that, Deputy Director II Dr. Widyastuti Purbani, M.A conveyed about Finance and Sarpras. He also motivated students that they were extraordinary students because they could continue their studies at UNY Postgraduate, which is one of the best universities in Indonesia. On this occasion, he also expressed his hope that students would excel and be able to graduate on time. Therefore, in the PKKMB activity, new students also received provisions from the Publication section delivered by Prof. Erna Andriyanti, Ph..., regarding tips and tricks for scientific writing. Furthermore, the orientation activity continued with introducing the study program, which each Head accompanied od the Study Program. On this occasion, each Heads Study Program presented the vision and mission of the study program, curriculum, and graduate profiles.

The second day of PKKMB was followed by a public lecture titled "Shaping the Character of Postgraduate School Students who are Superior, Creative, Innovative and Globally Competitive in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0". The public lecture was delivered by the Rector of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD), Dr. Muchlas, MT., an alumnus of S3 PEP UNY. Sixty new graduate school students attended this activity. Public lecture activities run very interactively with exciting material as a provision for students to welcome the Industrial Revolution 5.0. (NR/ant)
