The rapid development of science and technology in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 made everything limitless. This is inseparable from the development of the internet world which has entered the era of The New Ultra High-Speed Internet Connectivity 5th Generation (5G) which can connect various technology devices so that all information technology devices are connected to one another. "It even allows a physical device to be controlled remotely, known as a cyber-physical system," said Prof. G. Kulanthaivel as the speaker at Academic Discussion Series 2 for the PTK Doctoral Study Program of UNY Graduate School. 

In his lecture in PTK doctoral class, Kulanthaivel explained that several aspects of life have moved towards digital, digital economy with the emergence of online shopping platforms and digital money payment methods, education with the emergence of various online learning platforms. There is also a virtual learning laboratory that uses AR/VR/MR technology, and the industry has used smart robots, smart buildings, smart lightning, smart cities, etc.

This certainly has an impact on the competencies needed by the world of work in the future, the vocational education curriculum must be able to be elastic so that it can adapt to changes that occur exponentially fast.
